This is my first post so go easy been welding for about 3 years now so still a nipper but have got a fairly decent grasp of mig tig and stick and have decided its about time i built a proper chopper frame from scratch built a fair few biycycles as a wee lad and hardtailed a couple of pit bikes for a laugh but not really got much of an idea were to start on a complete frame i know i need to build a jig to ensure the rake and trail are in line but besides that not a clue anyone done it already or got any tips for building a jig?

WOW! That is a hard question! I have built many jigs in my time, but trying to describe how too, is a different ball game! Measure and measure again? I don't know!

With any project of this type you should start with a "setting out point". A lot of people use the Gearbox output sprocket centre (in the case of a chain drive).
