I have been asked if I am certified to bs en iso15614 part 1:2004+a2:2012 1 iso 5817:2017 category b arc and gas welding of steels and arc welding of nickel and nickel alloys
In layman terms what does this mean
In advance any information is appreciated

HI

They could be asking if you are coded to these standards, certainly the first one, which has a lot to do with pressure vessels(other stuff as well). 5817 deals with defects, so not sure why you would need to be certified as a welder

ISO 15614-1:2017 specifies how a preliminary welding procedure specification is qualified by welding procedure tests.

Thanks for the reply’s it was in a tender pack we received
Have since found it is to do with the weld procedures as weldteacher says thanks again
