Boss just bought a pallet load of Lincoln L59 1/16" (1.6mm) dia MIG wire to use by hand! I thought this dia was mainly for robot welding. Shop is mainly full of Miller 350 amp welders and the whips are not water cooled.

Has anyone on here ran 1/16" wire by hand and if so, what size of power source?

Your problem will be with the torches not being water cooled.

Power sources should be no problem unless you are ploughing it in at the top of its range all day.
