Hi Guys,

Just joined as I thought id ask to see if anyone on here has any advice on Continuing Professional Development (CPD )regarding applying for renewal of my CSWIP 3.1.

Ive been working as a QC inspector for most of the last 5 yrs so that part is not a problem, but I notice that the TWI asks for evidence of CPD for 35hrs a year also.

Ive done the PCN Rad Interp course but that can only really provide my with 1 - 2yrs ( hrs wise ) at most of CPD.
Does anyone have any tips on what else would be considered apart from official courses etc. Id really like to
hear from anyone with any previous experience on this.

Are you a member of TWI, if so get along to your local events. That is classed as CPD.

you should never go past a five year renewal on your 3:1 mate, five years experience and you should just go for
for your 3:2 that's the advice I was given by an instructor at the twi while I was doing my 3:2 hope that helps

TWI changed their CPD system last year(ish) to a points based system, I have the template from TWI explaining what is worth how many points etc...

I can send a copy over if you give an email address.
