Hi all , I after some advice on creating a Welding Procedure Specification (wps) , currently we have several Wpqr's in place , I will just use a 316 stainless Asme ix pipe butt and fillet welds wpqr as an example.
Now my understanding of creating a WPS was to use the Wpqr which is already in place with all certifications, and stick within the ranges of approval on the wpqr , I was always told the wpqr was top of the tree and several wps's can be created from this .
Hope this makes sense, can anybody tell me if this information is correct?
Thanks all , Cream .
