We've asked our welding supplier for a sample reel of flux core wire.

They've supplied us with Lincoln outershield mc710-h
I've never used any flux core but understand its similar to stick but using a mig

When we're welding with it there is no slag forming on the surface of the weld and can't be seen when we're welding. It's also not that easy to use in position as I've been told it is. Has anyone used this wire before and what should it be like/ what are the best dual shielded flux core wires

Thanks

Elga DWA-50 is a pretty standard and easy to use FCAW, I have no doubt other manufacturers have equal wires but I can recommend this one.

As Technical Al said - AWS E71T-1 (Rutile Flux Cored Wire).
You need to try it.
"drag with slag" - you have a drag angle on the torch for PA and PB (flat and hori-vert.)
Positional - you can run at about 210A - vertical-up and other positions - nice productivity.
V. smooth arc.
