Kemppi's new FitWeld 300 MIG/MAG welder replaces MMA tack welding in shipyards and heavy equipment manufacturing.

FitWeld 300, a brand new compact MIG/MAG welding machine that is the ultimate solution to tack welding offering up to 57% savings on input power compared to traditional MMA welding.

The compact, light-weight, easy to handle, yet robust, 3-phase 400V 50/60Hz FitWeld™ 300 has been designed as the replacement for MMA tack welding and welding, by increasing welding speeds to twice that of MMA welding, ideal for use in shipyards and heavy equipment manufacturing.

Rated 300A @ 20% duty cycle, it has a 43V open circuit voltage (OCV) and can be used with mild steel solid and flux cored wires as well as stainless steel and aluminium wires from 0.8 – 1.2mm. Features include: QuickArc™ clean arc ignition producing minimum spatter and fast arc stabilisation, the latest GT WireDrive™ to give a rapid response to welding gun trigger signals as well as for multiple arc start use, GasGuard™ automatically prevents welding when shielding gas is not present or is accidentally disconnected for the machine, and Brights™ in-built lighting, a brand new aid unique to Kemppi welding equipment, providing the welder with a cool white light to make wire spool changes and parameter adjustments easier and safer in low light working conditions.
